"This is a follow up to my previous review, having not succeeded in getting an appointment, I made a final phone call to surgery on Thursday and a nice young man listened to me prattle on about my dilemma. I told him that I was at the end of my tether and really needed to see my doctor. He went off and did his job superbly and phoned me back later that after noon, and told me they had released an appointment for me for today. I was so grateful and off I went this morning to see her.
The Doctor did answer my concerns on the decline of service, and I feel much better knowing that it is not their fault. Needless to say I'll leave it at that. I now feel confident that I with the GP's help a way forward.
More importantly I do still support my GP and know now that if I am in a similar position in the future they will move heaven and earth to help. Thankyou all"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
