"Following recent surgery I knew I would have to see my doctor in six weeks time. I rang to try and make an appointment well in advance, I was told by the receptionist to ring back this morning, some two weeks later. Instead I chose to call in person to book an appointment in another two weeks time. The receptionist told me point blank I could not see a doctor and instead would have to book a telephone callback. The total opposite of what I had previously been told.
Fair enough, but I wasn't happy with the total lack of professionalism and told the receptionist so. She offered to let me speak to the practice manager, which I thought might at least 'clear the air'. The office manger refused to even come out of her office to talk to me.
Obviously not the sort of caring professional a G.P.'s surgery needs."
