"I strongly dislike the way you cannot make an appointment to see a Doctor on line, or even by telephone at this Surgery, or even in person at the Surgery. You have to tell the Receptionist what is wrong with you and a Doctor will then call you back at home (you have no idea what Doctor will call you back) and then more often than not that Doctor will refer you to a Nurse. I find this system extremely impersonal, I want a Doctor to look at me face to face, not over a telephone when it is impossible for the Doctor to judge what you truly look and are feeling like. It also means the Nurses are all very busy. I don't doubt the Nurses are capable but when I want to see a Doctor, I want to see a Doctor, not a Nurse. I appreciate that it might mean I have to wait some days to see actual see a Doctor but I would far sooner wait to see a Doctor than the very impersonal service they offer at the Bourne Galletly Practice where more often than not you will be told to see a Nurse, not a Doctor.
