"I have been told yet again that there are no pre-bookable appointments available for the next 2 weeks, and they seem unable to open up the system for the period after the next 2 weeks. Therefore, those of us who work simply cannot get to see a GP, as we can't get same day triage either. It's an impossible situation and this surgery are simply unwilling to do anything about it. All the staff do is blame the patients who previously abused the system by booking appointments and then not showing up. So, they are setting the ones who don't abuse the system against those who do. There are easy ways round this - you use the computer system to block the abusers - you don't just lock everyone out - that's ridiculous. It just needs a bit of IT nous."
