"Hard to get an appointment with a doctor. Managed to get an appointment with a nurse today. Parking was a nightmare and admittedly I was late due to traffic and parking. By the surgery clock I was 7-8 mins late. Receptionist advised that as I was extremely late and it's near the end of surgery she would ask if I could be seen. Obviously being Friday and easy answer to say no due to my lateness, the answer was no! I get that it messes things up when people are not on time, but normally I am sat waiting for anything over 10 mins. Requested if I could get an inhaler, but that depends on whether they can get the doctor to sign it etc. Ring back after surgery or come in Monday. Returned home to receive a text from the surgery "You did not attend your appointment...." It's a joke, no wonder the hospitals are full, people who can't get to see their GP or nurse end up at the walk in centre to be seen. Guessing it's all about the money and the numbers. Would be easier to remove GP surgeries and redeploy the funding to increase the resource at the walk in centre and the hospitals."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
