"Booked a telephone consultation as I have severe anxiety and can't leave the house. I arranged the consultation because I was under a Huge amount of stress and due to my anxiety it was making me really ill I was having continuous panic attacks all day long I couldn't sleep or eat I was being sick and was really struggling. So the doctor phoned me and after explaining what was happening she told me to just keep taking my medication and to let them know if I was really struggling , I'm sorry but what the hell have I just told you . So after telling her again I WAS really struggling that's why I booked the appointment she said again to keep taking my medication and if I was no better in a week to let them know. These people make me so angry they have no idea the hell you go through with severe anxiety I would give anything for these people to experience a day of my life and see how the hell they would cope . Most of the other doctor's I have dealt with at the practise have been very helpful and at least have some understanding of how bad anxiety is but there is No way I want any more dealings with this doctor."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
