"I am disgusted with the care of my daughter at this surgery, I saw a doctor with my 5 year old on 18/01/19 she has not been diagnosed with asthma yet but was having problems breathing and it was decided she needed a course of steroids for 5 days and gp wanted to see her again in 5 days to review her! He was very helpful. I rang after course was complete ad my daughter hadnât improved and was told I couldnât see said doctor as not available so if I wanted a certain doctor to ring back on Thursday after 8.30 to see duty doctor, I complained and receptionist was very rude so for another 48 hours she hadnât been reviewed and condition was stable with us keeping a close eye on her. On Thursday morning I rang at 8.30 to be told all appointments had been given out as they open at 8am the receptionist was extremely rude and cocky and said she could have an appointment with the doctor who originally saw her on the 18/01/19 but it would be on Friday 25/01/19 at 2.50 so I reluctantly had to agree, I then rang 111 and explained situation they told me she needed seeing within 6 hours and sent a referral to surgery! I rang surgery back and miraculously she could see a doctor at 4pm that day.
When we arrived at the surgery to book in there was a frosty receptionist who was rude so I assume sheâs the one I argued with on the phone, as soon as me and my daughter went to sit down she was watching me and laughing and talking to her colleagues very loudly about us, so I made them aware I could hear them and thought it was unprofessional, I then had a appointment with a doctor who I basically had to tell how to do her job as she didnât want to provide my daughter an inhaler! Unfortunately the reception staff and at of the doctors ruin this surgery they have two fantastic doctors here but due to my daughters poor care as a vulnerable child I have moved her to different surgery and with asthma been a life threatening condition I am fuming that they could put her at risk like that this surgery are a joke"
