"I was seen at the local hospital clinic but was sent away without any treatment and told to wait till I heard from them. I was in absolute agony and didn't know what to do so was quite scared and panicked. I had been abroad for a year and hadn't yet re-registered with the GP here, but I went in to the practice to try and register and get an appointment as quickly as possible as a last resort. Registering would normally take a few days to process but as I was clearly in a lot of pain and needed to be seen asap, the practice sorted this straight away and I got an appointment with the nurse practitioner the next day.
She was so friendly, understanding and reassuring and made me feel much calmer. She was able to diagnose me straight away (which the specialist clinic had been unable to do) and rang the hospital up to demand they see me again and treat me. Thanks to her help I was seen again later that day and finally got treatment. Not only did she push to get me seen and sorted out but my appointment with her made me much less scared and worried. She even rang me up a few days later to check in and see how I was doing. I don't think I can mention names in this review but I can't thank you enough for your help!"
