"They only offer appointments on the day, which to book either requires repeatedly phoning at 8am (my record is 85 attempts to get through) or queueing at the surgery from 7:30. This then means that you have to put aside the whole day to go to a 10 minute appointed, which for me means taking the whole day off work as I work 50 miles away.
If you do manage to get an appointment they rarely offer an appointment with a Dr and try to send you to the nurse. Who can be very rude and up setting, I have left the office in tears before. On more than one occasion one of the nurses has told me that she will lose her job if she give me treatment. For example, she once said it when I needed antibiotics for a skin infection because according to her there was "not enough puss coming out of my fingers", personally I think that any puss coming out of a person's fingers to too much puss and the fugicidic acid I had previously been prescribed was having no effect. If she is saying that to me for completely separate issues months apart, what is she saying to others?
They have also repeatedly sent my prescription to the wrong pharmacy so when I go to collect it from my nominated pharmacy it hasn't been filled because they weren't sent it. This means that I then I have to request the prescription from the drs again.
One thing does work well here, because the service is so bad I try to avoid going to see the GP, so I suppose it saves the NHS money, even if not getting treatment for anxiety and depression makes it worse."
