Since moving to the new premises it has become harder to get an appointment. Also trying to phone in first thing in the morning or when they first open after lunch is almost impossible as everyone is told to call in for appointments on the day. However today I called at just after 3pm and was offered an appointment at 3.30pm with my own GP. Previously We have been offered evening or weeekend appointment the same week at the hub practice in Brentwood. Unfortunately most patients are not willing to wait a couple of weeks for an appointment for routine and non urgent conditions. Therefore they take the on the day appointments leaving a shortage of appointments for patients that really need an urgent consultation. However once you have an appointment, waiting and treatment times are quick and efficient.
We have also needed the home visit service and having a relative with a terminal illness the surgery has been amazing with treatment and support. Our GP has been invaluable and has provided continuity throughout including sorting out the failiings of the acute hospital.
We feel fortunate to have Dealtree as our practice."
