"I booked an appointment with the nurse two weeks ago, to be phone about 80 minutes before my appointment to be told the nurse was sick. I asked if i could sit and wait to see the doctor or be booked in with another nurse. The receptionist explained that the nurse was sick for the rest of the week and on holiday the week after.
I asked if i could speak to someone medically trained, as i asked this question when i originally booked the appointment, as i feel as though the question i have will result in me not needing an appointment anyway. The receptionist went off for a bit and told me the nurse will ring me back but it might not be today, i then said "i thought the nurse wasn't there thats why she couldn't see me". She said its "a different nurse".
I feel a little frustrated, that you cant speak to a triage and its a break down in communication from the receptionist on the phone. No appointment offered and just have to wait for someone to call. Poor service when i have taken the day off and arranged the childcare around this appointment."
