"Needed an emergency appointment for my little one, called at 9 on the dot was "second" in line, got through in couple of minutes only to be told by receptionist who picked up to hold the line, i thought ok this would be another couple of minute at most, I had my partner call to see if people were getting through which they clearly were while i sat on the phone. 35 minutes later frustrated i decided i probably should walk down to surgeryas i'd get better chance of arranging an appointment than sitting on hold for now 40 minutes with no end in sight, then to my horror phone was picked up and abruptly hung up. I called again saying i'd just been on hold for 40 minutes and was told theres a issue with it (phone) flashing then clearing the waiting calls??. Its really frustrating and concerning when you need urgent care to be forgotten about on hold for 40+ minutes especially when your "second" in line. It simply isn't good enough. It is the absolute basics to tell the person being put on hold how long they shall expect to wait, and common courtesy to stick to that."
