"My elderly mum was recently discharged from hospital and it was apparent after discharge that she could not cope at home alone.
I contacted the surgery and the complex needs nurse very quickly came to see mum at home to assess her needs. She contacted the relevant people and immediately arranged home carers and support.
She has exceeded my expectations with the speed, professionalism and her caring nature.
I must also thank the doctor who again has been extremely helpful in mums case. Both have taken the time to act quickly in mums case and have been sympathetic to my concerns.
They have listened and acted to ensure mum has received the relevant care. I cannot praise them enough and indeed all of the staff who are always polite friendly and show a caring nature."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
