"Not only does one of the receptionists think they're a doctor, refusing to even text the doctor if you dont tell them what your issue is (some private matters are to be discussed with a medically trained professional). But the Doctor then refuses you appointments, wanting more information that the surgery then refuses to ask the relevant people for.

I am currently being refused an appointment because they are waiting for information from my physio yet have made no attempt to contact my physio whilst I am suffering in pain, even going in person today, dealing with the same receptionist who just sits their rolling their eyes at you making no attempt to inform the doctor of your health complaints.

I do not often visit the doctors and have made a serious mistake joining this surgery. If you want to be able to see a doctor I suggest you look elsewhere because you will just continually be fobbed off by this one."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
