"Now nobody manning the reception desk. A printed notice stating 'Patients are to ring the bell ONCE & wait whilst someone comes to deal with them ' Recently visited the practice a few weeks ago & were dealt with after almost a ten minute wait. The staff have been known to chat with one another keeping the patient waiting. The website still gives details of the situation concerning the winter weather six months ago. Not possible to make on line appointments. Patients need to divulge details of their problems to the receptionist . One of the GP's will then 'phone them & decide whether a face to face meeting is necessary. By using this system, waiting times for an appointment have improved."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
