"I couldnât recommend this surgery enough, I have two young children so as a mother I worry about their health, whenever I have taken them to see the Doctor I have always been listened to and any concerns I have are always taken seriously & not judged, the Doctors have a way of making you feel at ease & talk to you on your level helping you understand. Every Doctor I have seen at this surgery makes me feel like i have known them forever & never makes me feel like I am wasting their time. I must also mention the nurse at this surgery, she been there forever & has a real understanding of the patients she treats, really easy to talk to & helps where ever she can. One little touch I like about this surgery is that the Dr comes out & calls for you when she is ready to see you for your appointment, I think that is adding that personal touch as she always welcomes her patients with a smile. As far as Doctors surgeries go I think this is a fantastic one & would recommend to family & friends without hesitation."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
