"Been with this Surgery for several years and not had to use them much until recently. They neve pick up the phone. Trying to get through to speak to somebody is a joke, hope you like being put on hold for 10 mins. Doesn't seem to matter if I go to Colton or the Grange, chances are somebody is at reception complaining (about various things).
One Dr I saw recently was brilliant, my appointment went way past the 'you only get 10 mins' rule. Sorted me a referral to Hospital gave me a detailed letter to pass on, excellent service.
Now the bad news, other Dr's are not so good. One Dr I found rude, I dared to question her. Told me if I was in a hurry to be referred then I should go private. Went to see another Dr for a referral to the Pain Management Clinic, saw him Friday morning, left thinking it's sorted. Got a pre booked telephone Dr's consultation on the Monday about medications, happened to ask how my Pain Management referral was going, It hadn't been booked !!! Was told 'it's probably on his To Do List'. The Dr only works part time, back end of the week, when will he get to his To Do List ? Surely there is a clue in the name Ya know Pain Management, the patient is in pain so it should be a bit of a priority.
Walk in Service. You walk in, give your name on a first come first served basis to see a Dr. Take a seat and you'll be able to see the first available Dr. NOT HERE !! The Dr's 'swap' patients. Why ? Surely first come should be first served. I queried this with receptionist she said Dr's have 'moved' the list.
I could go on. All of this is within a couple of months. It's really opened my eyes as to the level of poor service.
I'm voting with my feet and going somewhere else
