"Both my wife and I have been patients with this particular practice for over 30 years. We have always had the best of healthcare from the all of very experienced Doctors and members of the Nursing Staff at this surgery. We find that we can always readily obtain appointments with the GP of our choice, easily order repeat prescriptions and take advantage of the available first class administrative procedures, on offer.

The Reception Staff are extremely friendly, polite and always willing to deal with any of our enquiries, either face to face or via the telephone. Over the years we are grateful to all of the Doctors, Nurses and Support Staff for both their professional services, and attention to detail.

Any necessary referrals for either of us to a Hospital, a Consultant and Specialist Services have always been readily provided and the results of the same have been quickly explained to us by the Doctor, concerned. I would have no hesitation in recommending this practice to all new patients."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
