"an really pleased with how the new doctors are taking interest in getting my medical problems put right as specially a Dr. who as been as specially understanding and patient in getting the right balance of medication so one doesn't counter act against the other, it's been along time since I've had a restful sleep and reasonable mobility in my right knee which he give me a painless injection in and now I've got back a limited amount of movement of which I've not had in years also he's getting me to the right specialist and getting to the bottom of old problems in stead of just throwing tablet at it and sending me away, I have renewed faith in droysden rd surgery now, and I am now getting answers to my long term problems and the right treatment put inplace ,blood test done there on site right away results back the next week and the surgery is in A1 condition 100% better service and care there now then there's been in years, I'm very impressed in the way Dr admin works is personal interest in getting me to the best condition of normal life as possible, he seems to go out of his way in giving you the best of his knowledge and what's best for you, his put this family practice back on the map with his quality of patient care thank you"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
