"I am feeling very frustrated with never getting through by phone! it takes me 25 minutes 30 attempts to get through and be told no appointments left.. Was told to take sample down so could be sent away, which would mean waiting up to three days! when arrived at the surgery there was only about 5 people waiting to be seen? I asked if the doctor or nurse could give me something but was told to phone back next morning at 8am.. which I tried to do the next and the next then was told I would be better of going out of hours as I have had no luck in getting an appointment! I don't visit the doctors much, when I have been the doctor has been very rough to the point he has hurt me and he tells me that he is only trying to help me!! the nurses are lovely don't have a problem with them.. But as I am getting older I need to be able to get through and see a doctor.. So after seeing how bad it is not just for me but others too, I am going to look else where as I have given you a chance to improve in the last two years but nothing has changed.. All practices get money for how many patient they have! Why stay where they are getting money for having me on their books but I never get to see anyone!! Good bye Earls Barton practice can't say it has been enjoyable knowing you...."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
