"As a whole I am happy with Fairfax and this is why.
Availability - this is very good, they tend to always have availability for me and my families needs, including telephone appointments, evening, early and last minute.
Receptionist - generally as a whole they are a good. Some individuals could come across better in terms of general politeness but the others are polite and friendly both face to face and over the phone. I do find it frustrating when you walk to reception and they donât acknowledge you, I understand if they are in the middle of something but even a âI will be with you in a minuteâ would be sufficient. Another example is when they tell you their not medically trained - Yes! I do know this, hence me booking appointments with a doctor and not a receptionist!
GPâs - there is one that I will NOT deal with but this has been fine since I advised reception that I do not want to deal with that GP. If you do get this experience, please donât be put off, just try another GP - in fact Iâve not had a bad experience from any of the others. Thereâs some that I would prefer to see as they are outstanding. Not only do they do a great job of identifying issues, helping but they also know how to communicate with people. I am truly thankful for the GPâs that have gone the extra mile for me and my family. An example of this is once when I went away at the weekend and I forgot my inhalers. The GP did everything he could to help me. Another GP helped me when I was due to go on holiday but due to a medical reason I couldnât fly, so they really endeavoured to help.
Nurses - simply kind, caring and efficient!"
