"The book on the day system is ridiculous, if you are a busy working person or have children to get to school. Finally get through on the phone at about 8.45 to be told all of the appointments are booked up and to ring again tomorrow. There are hardly ever any bookable appointments unless you can wait around 2 or 3 weeks or more and often the EMIS on line system also says no appointments available despite the surgery encouraging you to use this.
Recently 2 nurses off sick for 2 weeks or more and no bank or agency cover was put in place resulting in my appointment being cancelled, rebooked and then cancelled again at the last minute. I waited over 2 weeks for an important treatment with the result that I have felt very unwell and struggled to carry out my normal activities.
The practice manager is never available to speak to and does not return calls.
I agree with other reviews that to be asked by reception staff the reason for wanting an appointment is not acceptable.
On the plus side the clinical staff are excellent and I canto fault the medical and nursing care given - when you can get it!"
