"I am not one for leaving reviews, i believe once things settle you can move past them. Not this time. I have been registered here a while and been quite happy with the service provided. Sometimes it is hard to get an appointment, but i understand that can't always be helped. The phone system has improved in the last year however the attitude of the staff has got worse. I am in the process of making a complaint and i have to say the person i dealt with on the phone so far is rude. Not very managerial. She is very patronising and really needs to think about how she speaks to people. I hope she speaks to the staff better than that, but judging by their mood maybe not. I'm all for listening to points of view, but not to be talked down to. She will now form part of my complaint. It is a shame because the doctors are good, as are the nurses. But this time i'm really unhappy and will be contacting NHS England once i have heard back from the surgery. I feel really let down. What has happened to the surgery, maybe things are too much now."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
