"I made an emergency appointment for my daughter this morning as she has had a cold for ages n it just keeps getting worse!! Her cough was making her sick!! They told me to b the for jus before 11 to fill in form n she would b seen at 11!! It takes us 30 mins to walk there in the snow for them to tell me that they had to record of me phoning so they couldnât c my daughter! Even though one of the receptionist even said she had spoke to some one who needed to register but couldnât remember who n she also said she told them to come down for 11 but still couldnât remember! But I was stil told there was nothing they could do!! So I had to take my very ill daughter in the snow for them to tel me I was lieing!! I said wel canât I jus get in now they said no! I am fuming they treated me n my daughter with no respect!! Disgusted!!"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
