"My blood pressure meds were changed and after a blood test the receptionist called and said the doctor wanted me to make an URGENT appoitment. However they couldnât see me for 9 days.
I turned up for the appoitment but the doctor couldnât check my blood pressure because I needed the large cuff and she didnât have one. She just said casually ,oh wellâ. When I asked what other large patients do I also said should I purchase a large cuff and bring it with me so my BP can be taken she said âyou can doâ. Then said if you want it checked you could try the nurse!!!
I am left wondering why I was summoned for an urgent appoitment.
Plus the patient before me left a few minutes early but I was left waiting a further 10 minutes past my appoitment time before I was called in.
I think they need to respect that patients are also busy people who have to earn a living and wasting my time is not acceptable. If they canât do BP on big people then she didnt need me to come to the surgery she could just drop me an email."
