"I am currently a patient at this surgery bc my family were with them prior to the move to Merlyn Vaz centre. The system is shockingly! I canât recall the last time I saw a doctor because I can simply never get an appointment! To get an appointment you have to call on the day at 8am, on multiple occasions itâs taken me nearly an hour to get through to be told they donât have anything left and I shouldâve tried earlier. In fact Iâve had to go the walk in centre more than I have to see the doctors here.
I had an appt recently where I genuinely thought I had agreed to 4:40, apparently it was 4:20, of course I was late. If I had known I wouldâve called up to inform them. On arrival, the doctor had already said due to my lateness I would need to rebook as he was ârunning behind,â yet the waiting room was empty. I wasnât called at the time to check whether I would be attending or not.
When I need travel vaccinations, I wasnât told anything in regards to yellow fever, in fact the nurse stated âI was good to go.â However, a few days later my parents were told they NEEDED yellow fever certificates, we were all travelling to the same place & we didnât need them, but itâs this kind of uncertain and conflicting information that Iâve come to expect from this place."
