"Prevention is better than cure...!
I have always advocated that a GP must be working in preventive action mode rather than corrective action. This approach will keep patients healthy and in the long run always save money to NHS.
My recent consultation with the doctor is a prime example of how a top notch professional should work. His proactive and timely interaction saved me from a major health problem, which could have caused heart attack / stroke and in worst case - it would have been dead not been able to write this praising letter.
I went to see the doctor with symptoms of breathlessness and tightness of chest. His concern, care and timely action to arrange ECG was exemplary. Within 20 - 30 minutes, he arranged for me to be seen by Acute Assessment Unit at Airedale Hospital. They were also superb in looking after me and making a timely decision.
To be precise, I had major two arteries blockage, which could have been fatal if not treated in time.
I would like to highlight that timely intervention of the GP and passing on to the care of right professionals at the hospital save my life and here I am recovering well and returned back to work. May I also take the opportunity to highlight, how brilliant doctors and nurses at Airedale Hospital are. An excellent overall experience.
We need more caring, proactive and caring doctors like this doctor in NHS â A big thank you to you Sir.
