"I have moved to this surgery in the past 6 months. I last had issues with mental Health some 8 years ago my previous doctor at Ashington House felt with me faultlessly and things were great for about 7 years.

Having recently starting to suffer really badly with Anxiety attacks again which I understand very well and am under the care of the external lift physcology. But this is a long term solution I have been numerous times to see a doctor there. Sometimes the lovely lady on the phone has just said how quickly can you get here aill get you a spot.

But the doctors. WOW ! I've just spent 45 minutes in with A Doctor. He yawned through out the entire appointment and spent the whole time not offering any help what so ever just critising the medication that I am already in. Which funnily enough was increased by the last doctor I saw for help regarding this issue.whilst so am sure the doctor there would be great at curing a cough or cold. If you have any issues with mental health please please find another doctor. You will not get ANY help stall if anything you will be made to feel worse than when you went in!

Please just consider your options and do what's best for you."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
