"Due to my job I have had to move frequently. This means I have experienced quite a few surgeries over the years. Sadly this place compares Very poorly with the other practices who are under the same pressures as this surgery. I did read a comment about doctors leaving to be locums due to work pressure, speaking to a doctor friend I suspect the real reason has more to do with the extra money they get for less hours and the flexibility in working hours. Anyhow the reception staff are ok no worse or better than the others, you generally get answered quickly on the phone. But there are a number of medical staff here who in my opinion struggle with patients. There is a lack of empathy, little ability to discuss with there patient the way forward, itâs a take it or leave it approach (even when you have previously tried there recommended treatment at a previous surgery), so you will find yourself having to go back for more appointments due to their directions on treatment not working further clogging up their appointments, wasting your time and theirs plus this delays effective treatment. Now this isnât every gp or nurse, oddly the locums that they have seem to be pretty good but obviously you wonât get the follow up with a locum. There was a good nurse there but I believe she retired recently. If you have a choice between this practice and another, go with the other. I not sure how they can turn this around as I doubt that the doctors who struggle would be willing to accept their attitude with patients is poor and go on training, but itâs clear to me from my experience and from the reviews that there is an issue. I do feel sorry for the practice manager as itâs clear his heart is in the right place and he is trying, they even have an active Facebook group. If you do use this practice itâs not all doom and gloom. There is parking and as I said some of the doctors and medical staff are ok with one I would even class as good/excellent."
