"One particular doctor has been so helpful in treating my fibromyalgia. First of all the diagnosis was made as quickly as possible, I had xrays/blood tests etc to rule out other possible causes of the intense pain and fatigue I was experiencing which reduced time worrying about what could be wrong with me and enabled me to start treating the symptoms appropriately at an early stage. This doctor gave me materials to read about neuroplasticity and how to reduce the intense stress in my life. The medication I had at first helped me to be able to sleep again and the antidepressants helped lower the stressful feelings to an extent, and I practiced things I read about that would help and took supplements. The main help though was the time he gave me to talk about my life and what lead to the physical issues I experience. I have been able to make massive changes in my life, job etc and now my pain is greatly decreased and I have very few days where I canât move! I am able to do a lot more. I am very grateful for being taken seriously and my doctors positive attitude that I could get at least a great deal better. I would really recommend him to anyone struggling as I was!"
