"I attended an appointment today with the GP which I had booked well in advance due to working full time, I live around 8 miles from the surgery, the GP prescribed me a tube of ointment the prescription went to the pharmacy, I went to the pharmacy window and was asked to take a seat, I sat for 30 minutes before they noticed me still waiting they asked me who I had seen, I gave the GP name, then they told me that as my regular prescription goes to Pharmacy2u I should call them to see if it could be delivered sooner than my usual monthly repeat if they could not deliver it sooner to let the pharmacy know and they would have to cancel my prescription to Pharmacy2u and give me the cream, I went out to the car park and called Pharmacy2u and waited on hold for ten minutes, eventually gave up and went back in to the pharmacy. And asked why I could not just get the tube of cream from them as I Was here, I would not be back in oundle for some time, I explained that I had seen a GP a few weeks ago and she prescribed ear drops which were dispensed for me there and then with no mention of Pharmacy2u, I asked why if it was possible then why not now? She said it depends on the GP who they send the prescription to etc. What a muddle for a small tube of cream which was sitting on the shelf behind them, the outcome of today was a good consultation but I had to leave without the recommended medication due to the convoluted process in the surgery pharmacy, so frustrating and disappointing and such a waste of time, twenty mins with GP and nearly an hour trying to get a tube of cream without success"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
