"I have been a patient at Lambgates Health Centre for over 20 years. Recently I attended a double appointment where I was advised that I would need a blood test. It was late afternoon so the phlebotomist had left for the day therefore I was advised that I would have to return to the practice and book another appointment. When the receptionist checked the appointment system, there wasn't an available appointment for a further two weeks which wasn't ideal. Following on from speaking to the receptionist, I saw a Nurse who instantly made me feel at ease and was incredibly friendly. I explained the situation about having to wait two weeks for a blood test and the nurse said she would take my bloods there and then. The nurse then went above and beyond and said she would drop the bloods off at Tameside Hospital that night as she was passing on her way home. I was incredibly grateful to the nurse as it meant I didn't have to return to the practice and I would get the results much sooner, without having to wait. This nurse deserves the recognition for putting her patients first and she should be complimented on going above and beyond in her role.
I would also like to compliment a Sister, who is caring and compassionate and extremely methodical in her approach. This Sister has looked at various different options in order to diagnose the issue I am currently having and as a patient, this is incredibly reassuring.
I would definitely recommend the care provided at Lambgates."
