"On 12/02/2019 I discovered that a gp had made an error with a vital prescription, it hasn't been issued. So as you so you ring the surgery and ask why. I explain that I recently suffered a P.E and I am on blood thinners that are currently treating the P.E. I firstly get told I'll have to wait until Thursday!! Erm no I don't think so dear..
So the receptionist rings through and attempts to meet my needs. I get told I'll have to wait for the Oncall doctor to issue the prescription. I explain that I can't wait till 8pm and I can't walk down to the Dalton square pharmacy as my condition limits my breathing.
I get told that the doctor has prioroty appointments. I explain that considering I nearly died in December from a P.E I'm sure I'm priority enough. My local pharmacy closes at 6pm. So all afternoon I wait and no prescription sorted. so as this could be the difference between my blood clot being dislodged and cause me further diatress, i take myself round to A&E. It's ridiculous that issuing a prescription can be so stressful when it takes seconds. The attitude of some of the receptionists are inappropriate. I try not to cause a fuss but this surgery is dipping massively and when it puts my health at risk then you are going to see another side of me that will drag this through the mudd. I am currently sat in A&E waiting and I'll be sure to prepare my written complaint tomorrkw."
