"Ever since the surgery was taken over by Taurus Healthcare, the service has not been what it was before.
There clearly are not enough doctors on site so the idea of recommending the surgery to a friend(s) or a relative(s) is ridiculous.
I rang for an appointment on Tuesday 5th February and was told the earliest date would be the 27th February. I said that was unacceptable and was given Friday 22nd February which was bad enough. I wasn't even insistent on seeing my usual doctor, who is on long term sick anyway. However, I imagine the system would step up a considerable gear in the case of an emergency. That being said, the 12 years I have been using the surgery, I have never had to wait 2/3 weeks for an appointment.
Having made an appointment my mobile then gets filled up with numerous text reminders which I regard as totally unnecessary.
On the service generally, to be told 'that's the way it is' is just not good enough. Can't fault the treatment though it must be said.
We were fortunate to have a very good surgery in the way it was managed. Shame we don't seem to have that now."
