"I've been recently diagnosed with a genetic multisystemic disorder that affects me grately and to be honest my GPs has been very unsupportive throughout this whole process. I haven't been listened to, every time the doctors pushed me out of the doors before I even managed to say what the real issue was, I've been refused being reffered further or told that queues are terrible so I shouldn't expect much. All of that while being offered very little help in managing the condition. The last, pretty important thing, that was lacking was some empathy and simple human kindness which is so important dealing with a difficult diagnosis and long term condition so unless you just need a quick prescription or flu medicine don't go there!"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
