"I found myself in Lindfield after my Mother had died and realised I needed to register with a local GP / Medical centre as I had no idea how long I would be staying down south ( I'm from Glasgow ). Despite me having a Scottish NHS number and not a UK NHS number the practice managed to sort out all the details and register me with them.

After an initial check up and blood test my assigned GP phoned me directly to inform me that I was suffering from a Renal ( Kidney ) failure and organized me for immediate Hospital treatment. Without this action I doubt that I would be alive today.

Since then over the last 6 months I have received first class attention from various GP's, giving factual information and advise and where needed referrals to specialists.

The front of house / reception staff are not only courteous and friendly but also extremely efficient. I am also impressed with the SMS text notification confirming all my future appointments.

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
