"I have received the best treatment and care from Lisson Grove surgery. I was diagnosed with a perineal abscess over the New Year and from diagnosis to the first surgery was 4 days. After seeing a doctor at the surgery I was called to see how I was getting on 2 days later, that lead to a referral direct to the Surgical Assessment Unit at Derriford hospital. The care and speed of surgery was amazing. I cannot fault the whole process.
After my surgery to remove the abscess I was left with an open wound that needed daily dressing change and care (I will leave the nasty details out).
After the first week I was sent back to the hospital as one of the nurses was not happy with the wound and a doctor at the surgery agreed and I was fast tracked back to the SAU.
This lead to a second operation and since then the recovery has gone well.
I have had treatment every day for a month now and the staff have helped me through it.
I can say that everyone who I have come into contact with at the surgery have been amazing.
A nigh thank you to the people that have done my treatment as well as the receptionist for finding daily appointments.
I cannot praise all of them higher, thank you!
I would also like thank everyone at the Cumberland centre who have changed my dressings at the weekends."
