"I have been a patient at this surgery for a year and I book in for an injection every 12 weeks with the nurse but on the last 3 occasions I have been mucked about with appointments being booked in with nurses even though there is no nurse scheduled in on the first occasion they were able to rebook me in but second occasion they couldn't offer me anything anytime soon so had to get a colleague at work to give me the injection, third time was today scheduled in for a 5.30 appointment with a txt message on saturday and yesterday confirming my appointment when i turned up at the surgery all the lights were off and there was a sign saying surgery was closing half day because of staff training and the security guard told me they were shut for the day as it was half day cause of staff training so i went home only to receive a call at 6 o clock informing me that the surgery was reopening at 6 if i wanted to come back for my appointment. waste of my time and I have no faith in this surgery anymore to be let down once but 3 times is a joke. lack of communication in this surgery and I will be looking for another doctors."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
