"my partner is type 2 diabetic. due to being left a month between having his bloods done and then his review he ran out of medication. was told on the thurs to put a script in and it would be ready by friday.......no idea why the nurse didnt do it ! . rang up at 2pm thurs to see if it was ready and was told to ring back at 5. rang back to be told all docs had gone home and wouldnt be able to get it now till monday. meanwhile my partner has no diabetes medication due to the lack of care at this practice.

AVOID AT ALL COSTS ITS A RUBBISH PRACTICE. IF HE STOPPED TAKING THE MEDS THEY WOULD HAVE SOMETHING TO SAY BUT YET THEY CANT PROVIDE IT FOR HIM !!!!!"

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Qualifications - BSc, MBChB, MRCGP

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
