"When I first registered with this surgery, we called the surgery direct and it was relatively easy to get an appointment for that week. During the past few years, the village has become larger and larger and now we have to call via their surgery in York to get an appointment. Normally this involves holding on for quite a long time and then told that there are no appointments available for up to 4 weeks. If it is urgent we are told to call the next day at 8.00am and there might be availability, but if you can actually get through at 8.00am, good luck! Lots of GP's have left and one afternoon I, and three other patients, were told that the GP had called in sick and there was no other GP at the surgery. We were also told that we had all been contacted that day by the main reception. Obviously not true, otherwise we wouldn't have all been sitting waiting to see the GP. This surgery has really gone downhill. The main surgery is in York and all resources are concentrated here. Unfortunately we are in a catchment area that means we can only use this surgery. Something needs to change."
