"Genuinely shocked that on every occasion Iâve needed to see a GP that there is no appointments available.
Today Iâve called the practice at 8am, unable to get thru to the appointment booking service until 8:20am when I was suddenly 8th in the queue! By the time my call was answered at 8:40am (approximately) I was told that all the appointments today had gone and Iâd have to try again tomorrow, possibly come down to the practice for 8am and wait to be seen! Hardly fills me with confidence when Iâve just told the Receptionist that Iâm calling because Iâm in pain when I breath in and all my symptoms combined are getting worse after 5 days of being ill.
This is not the first time. My partner tried to get an appointment with GP for an ongoing health problem he has and we eventually ended up in A&E - via a ride in ambulance. It was only whilst being admitted that he finally got the help he desperately needed.
This practice has two surgeries as well, I donât understand why getting an appointment is so troublesome and having to resort to going to the surgery at 8am on the day to be seen is unacceptable. Iâd expect that of a walk in centre, not a GP practice.
My partner and I have made the decision to register elsewhere as this practice cannot offer a reasonable level access to GP appointments, especially same day appointments."
