PROS
Online booking and repeat prescription service (not the easiest of processes, but no worse than a bank).
On the day appointments - sometimes fitting in ill children at the end of scheduled appointments..
Evening appointments until 6.50pm
A broad range of medical staff, so it's easier to see someone who can help.
Appointments run broadly on time - I have waited 15-20 mins, but usually no more than 5.
CONS
No GP practice truly offers appointments 'when you want them'. You always have to wait if you can't be flexible with your time. But that's the system, not the practice.
Likewise, after they had ruled out the most common serious illnesses, it took quite some effort to get referred to a specialist unit that then helped considerably. Again, I think this is factor of the system."
