"I have recently moved surgeries. I was nervous at first because of my experience with my past surgery. This anxiety was wasted. The staff at Oakmeadow are absolutely fantastic.
So far I have had a couple of appointments and the Dr is very well mannered, polite, empathetic and explains everything really well. This is a huge difference to how I am used to being treated at my previous surgery.
The practice manager is approachable and kind and very easy to talk to.
I have found that reception staff are kind and caring and always have a smile on their face.
Reception is clean and so are the toilet facilities. There are clear signs all around the surgery explaining key information.
I would 100% recommend this surgery over other surgeries near to this. I feel valued and understood as a patient and I know if I have problems or concerns I can voice them openly without fear of being treated any differently.
I did have a slight problem changing surgeries with one prescription but a quick message via online services rectified the matter. It is so much easier to do things this way than with my previous surgery who would get quite annoyed if you said something was wrong and require an appointment.
Access is great they have parking and the waiting room has a lot of seats.
The wait time to see a GP the first time was 25 minutes past my appointment time, but I didn't mind this as it is written on a poster that some may have more complex issues before you and the doctors like to make sure they get it right for each patient. It is also explained to go speak to them if you wait 30 minutes or more.
To make this surgery even better it would be good if there was something to do for kids who are kept waiting past their appointment time as it would make parents lives easier. That would be the only improvement suggestion I could make. I think this practice is so fantastic compared to what I am used to that this is only a minor adjustment that I could suggest making."
