"I verbally cannot express enough how bad this surgery has got over the last 3 years. Long gone are the days where you could book an appointment with the GP of your choice and to order a prescription without it getting lost or in fact not even ordered.
You can never get an appointment with the GP of your choice because they are either 'fully booked' or there are completely no appointments available for the patients whatsoever. HOW CAN A GP SURGERY NOT HAVE ANY APPOINTMENTS!! I have been trying for the last 2 months to get an appointment with a certain GP and every time I call (every other day) all they say is that the GP is fully booked and to call back in a few weeks.
Prescriptions at this surgery are not taken seriously whatsoever either. The excuse that these problems are due to the merge between battle hill surgery and park road is starting to get very boring and these problems have in fact been ongoing well before the surgeries joined together. Every time I order a prescription they say it will be ready 48 hours after ordering ( I always wait at least 3 days before I go to pick it up) and the prescription has either not been ordered or they cannot find it. I DO NOT TAKE MEDICATION FOR FUN, I TAKE IT TO SURVIVE. And when you question the receptionists about your prescription not being there they will do their up-most to brush it under the carpet and make sure its the least of their priorities to get it sorted.
To be brutally honest the reception staff are the worst I have ever encountered in my life. They obviously have not received any customer service training as they are very unprofessional & have appalling attitudes. I am aware of the issues that the NHS is facing however there is no need for the receptionists to take this anger out on the patients. WHERE IS THE MANAGEMENT WHEN ALL OF THIS IS GOING ON?
I have come to the decision that I will be sending a complaint in writing to the CQC, as anytime you want to raise an issue it is never listened to."
