"I recently needed an urgent appointment to see a doctor having been woken up in the middle of the night by excruciating abdominal pains. The receptionists were excellent and very thorough as always when i rang for an on the day appointment and I was seen an hour later by my doctor. An emergency referral to hospital was made- for which I owe the surgery my life. After 2 operations and the highest standards of care in hospital, helped by some of the most talented surgeons and nurses in the country, I am now on the road to recovery. I have had the most amazing support since returning home and have been attended daily by the most incredible team of district nurses. Their dedication, knowledge and expertise never cease to amaze me and I am deeply grateful for their care and support. I could never have come as far without them. We are so very lucky to have such a superb team of individuals in this surgery and attached to it and I truly couldn't recommend them more highly. Thank you for all you have done and continue to do, I will never be out of your debt."

Dr Ko Ko Laing qualified in 1989, his previous surgery in Victory Road merged with the Portsdown Group in April 2010. He is a highly experienced GP, is based in Kingston Crescent Surgery he has a number of special interest which includes medicine, rheumatology and joint injections. He is a keen tennis player and also enjoys travel.

Dr Peter Kipgen

Dr Kipgen qualified from Barts and the London Medical School in 2006 (MBBS). He completed his GP training in Dorset in 2015 (MRCGP). He has a broad range of experience gained from hospital posts earlier in his career; these include paediatrics, sexual health, orthopaedics and emergency medicine. In his spare time he enjoys hill-walking and is a keen amateur chef. He also enjoys playing and watching sport especially rugby and football.

Dr Philip Monnery qualified from ST George’s Hospital Medical School in 1991, Undertaking a career in the Royal Air force. Initially undertaking surgical training and specialising in Ear, Nose and Throat he became a consultant in the Military in 2006. A change in life goals meant a change to general practice in 2009. He joined Portsdown Group Practice in 2015 and maintains his special interest in ENT and is responsible for the Portsdown Travel Clinic. He is married to Alison and has three children who keep them both very busy. He likes nothing better than to relax in the garden and is frequently seen with either a chainsaw or an axe, what could go wrong!?

Dr Catherine Tuson

Dr Cat Tuson graduated from Warwick University in 2007 and joined the Practice in 2013 having completed her GP training in the North East of England. She has a special interest in orthopaedics and joint injections and also in women’s health.
