"I ran out of Anti Depressants 3 weeks ago. I have requested a repeat prescription four times and they will not help. I emailed them and they ignored my first request and did not issue one or reply to my request. I spoke to the chemist who said they had not received the requested repeat prescription. I emailed the Medical Centre again telling them that I was going downhill rapidly and needed an urgent repeat prescription. They rang me and said that I should still have some tablets left. I explained that I had used all the tablets that the chemist had given me and I had not taken more than I should. I keep them in one place in a plastic box and I definitely did NOT have any left. It is impossible to get through on the phone as it is engaged constantly or turned off! After checking again with the chemist for the 4th time - the doctors had still NOT issued my repeat prescription. I work full time and cannot get to the doctors but had to have time off and go in and speak to the receptionist. I explained how bad I was now feeling. I was told I could not see a doctor but that she would speak to a doctor and get the prescription done and she would ring me later that day to let me know or if not it would definitely be with the chemist the next day. I went to the chemist the next day and the repeat prescription has still NOT been done (Saturday).
I have severe clinical depression. I have been taking these tablets for 3 years or more. They have now just been suddenly stopped completely because of the incompetence of the Medical ! I am now not coping and feel tearful all the time and abandoned by this medical centre who clearly do not care. I pay for my own prescriptions so why are they behaving so irresponsibly?
If I knew who to complain to about this Medical Centre would do so NOW!. Is there a medical ombudsman?"
