"I used to sing praises about this surgery but all went down hill when they brought in the new procedure of having a phone call appointment before seeing a gp. I can agree a lot of the time you donât always need to see the gp face to face to get a prescription or advice but sometimes you do. Itâs highly frustrating when you know that is something you can not do anything about over the phone but you have to wait up a week for a phone call appointment then a further 3 - 5 days to see a gp. It all seems to be a bit of a waste of time when it could have been dealt with a lot sooner. Also itâs frustrating when the doctor tells you to make an appointment to see a gp if the medication you were given over the phone does not work but later told by a receptionist that I have to make yet another phone call appointment which is just going to be a waste of my time and the doctors time. Personally I do not feel this strategy is efficient. I am now considering to leave this surgery due to this lack of understanding of petients needs and respect."
