"Due to a proposed merger with another surgery, it is not possible to book appointments online or in advance. Patients must clamour for an appointment on the day - regardless of whether you have to work or not.
This has been the case for the last 4 weeks and will, apparently, continue for at least another 3 weeks. Despite this, there is nothing on the practice website to advise patients that this is the case.
I fail to see how the practice are meeting the terms of their contract which includes a requirement that:
A contractor must promote and offer to its registered patients the facility for a patient
toâ
(a) book, view, amend, cancel and print appointments online;
I have now been waiting over a month to get an appointment to discuss test results with the GP who requested them.
Noting also that when I dropped off the sample for tests at 5.30pm on a Monday, the surgery was empty and the reception desk cleared away. Obviously, no one want an appointment that day.
They are all aware of the frustrations. So that's okay then. Disgraceful lack on consideration/information."
