"I had an appointment 2 weeks ago to see my original doctor who prescribed me with tablets to help me with my back pain, after 2 weeks of completing the tablets and doing the back exercises they requested I was still in a lot of pain so I made another appointment, to which they gave me the same tablets again but a months supply this time. The next morning I woke up crippled with pain and struggled to get myself out of bed, I was crying in pain and didn't get much sleep during the night because of it. I had to call in sick at work as I work in business admin and I am constantly sitting. My mam and I went to the Bunny Hill Centre at 9am for someone to look at me, however when we arrived we were told that the walk in centre didn't open until 10am by the receptionist, my mam asked if we could make an appointment for after 10am and the person advised that we couldn't make an appointment and to come back at 10am to make an appointment, although I myself had to drive up with my mam as she doesn't drive and it hurt my back driving. When we got home my mam decided to ring the Redhouse doctors (our doctors) and ask for an appointment to which we were told it was fully booked and I wouldn't get seen to until Wednesday, the receptionist was lovely about the problem and said my mam would receive a call shorty, in the mean time my mam rang 111 as I was in a ridiculous amount of pain by this point, speaking to the person on the line they wanted to speak with me and discuss my problem further, they asked loads of questions and then said I need to be seen by my GP or a walk in centre within the next few hours, they looked on the system to get me booked into a walk in centre, however the only walk in centres that were available were Newcastle and Hartlepool which was too far away for me as I live in Sunderland and was suffering from back pain... Anyways in the end 111 explained we could go to Pallion and explain we have been on the phone to 111 and see if they will see me. On our way to Pallion walk in centre my mams phone rang and it was a doctor from Redhouse Medical Centre, they explained to my mam they were fully booked but would make time to see me. We drove to Redhouse and the doctor seen me as soon as possible, they made me do a urine sample to make sure I didn't have any problems with my kidneys and wasn't pregnant etc. They then asked me to book in for my bloods took, give me loads of advice on how to help with my pain and prescribed me with anti biotics and some other tablets to relieve the pain. The doctor was absolutely fantastic and I am so greatful they went out of their way to help me when no one else would, they were so understanding and made sure I got the treatment I needed.
I will be going back to this doctor if and when I need to go to the doctors and would recommend them to anyone, they're an absolutely amazing doctor and their patients are their priority. They are extremely polite and a massive help. One of the best doctors I've been too ever."
