By Thursday I still hadn't received it. Today, Friday, I went down to the surgery just after 8am, when they are supposed to open. (From past experience of NEVER being able to get through on the phone, I didn't even bother to try.) I stood, with about half a dozen other people, outside, in the cold and damp, for about 45 minutes before the receptionist came to let us in. I then had to stand in a queue inside before being told that the receptionist had no idea why my prescription had not been dealt with but that it SHOULD be sent to the pharmacy today. (I have now run out of medication that I am supposed to take every day with little prospect of getting it until after the weekend, when, of course both the surgery and pharmacy are closed!)"
